Pilots You are invited to fly with us for one or more days as we set the Powered Paragliding World Distance Record by flying across Canada! The Flight Beginning May 15th, 2009, Benjamin Jordan will fly from Tofino, British Columbia to St. John's, Newfoundland along a 10,000 km course over 108 days. Checkpoints include Media Stops in Canadian communities and Presentation Stops at Canadian Youth Camps and Public Scools. The daily average distances of 125 km are modest in order to allow us to make our scheduled comittments regardless of weather, while allowing time to execute them. Getting Involved All that you require to fly with us is a good attitude and experience flying a Powered Paraglider. If you have your own gear, great ..if you don't, we've got you covered! Nirvana has been kind enough to lend us a second glider and engine for pilots like you!!! We have a camperized school bus as our support vehicle and with it, can carry your gear, keep you fed and give you a roof to sleep under if tenting is not an option. Fundraising Just like a fundraising cyclist being joined by other cyclists, or a runner being joined by other runners, we are flying for charity and ask that pilots joining our crew support our cause by seeking sponsorships from their friends, family and coleagues.
